About Me

Well hello and thanks for stopping by my page! Allow me to introduce myself: I’m Kathleen, founder of The Heart Project, mama to two cuties, wife, teacher, optimist and dreamer.

When I was a kid, I always said I wanted to be like Mother Teresa when I grew up. In all honesty, I didn’t really know anything about Mother Teresa, but I knew that she helped people, and that was good enough for me. I have carried that passion for helping others with me all my life. But life got busy – as it tends to do – I got a job, got married, had kids… the usual. And I sort of forgot about my passion..

Fast forward a few years to 2018 when my mum passed away. I was devastated, and needed an outlet for my grief (you can find out more on this in my first blog post). Inspired by the unbelievable acts of kindness from those around me during this difficult time, I decided to start The Heart Project. I found it therapeutic to focus my energy on writing helpful and inspirational blog posts. My goal was, and still is, to inspire others to practice kindness and gratitude in their own lives, as well as to become leaders in their communities with the ultimate goal of driving positive change in the world (see more on The Heart Project’s mission here).

I hope something on this website resonates with you and inspires you to become the best version of yourself and to make the world a better place. If you have any feedback, questions or just want to say hi, please leave me a message! I would love to hear from you!

With love and gratitude,
